Our vision on Audit and Assurance

The strength of our services lies in our basic principle: an audit must add value. Both substantively and personally. How do we do that? Based on a number of strategic principles that form the core of our company.

Audit is mastery

Our accountants work full-time in this field and invest in their professional qualities every day. We have invested heavily in the growth of our audit department. Our team consists of over 60 colleagues, about twenty of whom already hold the RA title. The other colleagues are currently studying for that title. This size gives us the opportunity to invest in education, training and especially in gaining on-the-job experience. Eshuis also has its own ‘in-house’ training centre (Eshuis Academy) and our work is supervised by our own compliance officer. Our experienced RAs are at the heart of the field and are personally involved in the work and training of their teams.

Audit is passion

Of course! There is no quality without infatuation. We serve customers we care about and who we want to help towards their goals. Our people are characterised by a high degree of curiosity and are constantly out and about for the customer. Our accountants prefer not to sit still behind their computer screen, but instead to sit next to you to understand how you work.

Audit is innovation

Eshuis focuses on digital auditing in its multi-year strategy. This is expressed in two spearheads, namely our Business Intelligence department and our own IT auditors. In addition to being an IT specialist, our IT auditors are also RA and thus ensure the connection with the audit. The Business Intelligence department develops digital solutions for both our customers and our own audit teams.

Audit is multidisciplinary

Eshuis deliberately does not opt for ‘audit only’. It is precisely the use of expertise and other perspectives that makes our services valuable. We are actively seeking to strengthen our full range of services so that we can always be of assistance to you. In addition to audit, Eshuis also offers compilation services, personnel advice, legal advice, Business Intelligence solutions, tax advice and organisational advice.

Auditing is not something you do alone

That is why we are a member of the international trade association PrimeGlobal. In this way, we are connected to the international developments of our trade. In addition, we work together with Factor Bedrijfsovernames for acquisition advice and business succession and with Trisolis for subsidy advice.

Audit is where our customers are – in the Netherlands and internationally

We serve our customers from three permanent offices, spread across the Netherlands (Amersfoort, Almelo, Enschede). In addition, our international practice is growing and we also serve international clients. Accountants with many years of international work experience in countries such as Germany, China and the US are available to assist you in the Netherlands and abroad with audit and advice. Our international practice is supported by our membership of PrimeGlobal, one of the largest international networks of accountants. As a result, we can also engage local members of the PrimeGlobal network, for example for tax or legal services. This way, you are always assured of complete support.

An important compliment that a customer once gave us is: “You don’t proclaim what you are better at than others, but rather what you yourself are good at”. We are happy to take that to heart. Our audit approach is characterised by pragmatism and focus:

• Based on risk analysis, in consultation with the management of our relations
• Posts and streams with the highest risks receive the most attention and vice versa: “no risk no audit”
• With good knowledge of legislation and regulations, both the Guideline for Annual Reporting and specific reporting systems such as IFRS and BCR
• Logical team composition, in terms of experience level and appropriate to our relations
• Use of modern techniques and supporting software, such as data analysis / IT audit
